Reading Notes: Seven Secrets of the Goddess Video Week 12

 This video by Devdutt Pattanaik looks at goddesses and their journeys in mythology. One interesting point that is brought up is, in mythologies around the world, the theme of a female deity being adored then brutally side-lined by a male deity is a consistent theme. I have not looked at female deities this way in mythology but now that I am aware of this issue it definitely holds true for many strong female figures! Many of the themes presented in this video about mythology holds true in the animal kingdom and the author speaks on how female goddesses came into prevalence in storytelling and history.
